Steve is a native Texan. He was raised in Atlanta, Texas and is married to Carolyn, his high school sweetheart. Steve was raised in church and surrendered his life to Christ as a child. He was called to the ministry when in high school.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas and a Masters in Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth Texas.  He has served on staff at First Baptist since 1997.  Steve feels that his purpose in ministry is to lead people in worship that is a Life-changing encounter with God and will lead to a deeper commitment to Christ.

​Steve organizes all music and worship opportunities. Including all worship services, choir, and an ensemble.
